    The video was awesome. You did a great job, as always. What group did you work with on this video. If they were teenagers, that was impressive how they worked so well together. Bravo!

  2. Thank you, Emily. This assignment was part of a technology course that I teach in middle school. The engaging piece to the student successes was working with Gdoc's. The middle school students love collaborative work online. I observe better focus and higher rates of work turned in on time because of their engagement, too (versus collaboration with pencil and paper only at tables). Another particular thing that I enjoy as their teacher is not being asked over and over again, "What are we supposed to do?" As success for one student occurs on a shared document, all the others involved are successful, too. There was an enthusiasm, too, not to let one take over the input, because they all wanted to contribute to the document (something else I don't always observe when students are collaborating with pencil and paper at table groups).
